Beautiful Japanese antique 2 section isho tansu (clothing chest) from the Nihonmatsu area, made of keyaki (elm) wood with translucent orange-red lacquer finish, iron and mixed metal hardware including lock plates decorated with the symbols of the lucky gods, safe box with 2 interior drawers, comes with key, Meiji Period (1868-1912).

Antique Japanese apothecary tansu with many drawers for medicinal herbs, made of kiri (paulownia) wood, with copper hardware, beautifully aged with rectangular faded areas from where labels were on each drawer, Edo Period (early 19th century).

Antique Japanese carved wooden chair, made for export, elaborately carved with dragons and bats, each arm is made in the form of a dragon with a ball in it's mouth, back is carved with one large dragon circling in the clouds, the two front legs are carved in the shape of a dragon's head when looking in one direction and in the other like a bat with wings spread, Taisho Period (early 20th century).
