Antique Japanese isho tansu (clothing chest) in 3 sections, made with gorgeous keyaki (elm) wood burl on the front and straight grained keyaki through out, interior made with kiri (paulownia) wood, top compartment with sliders opens to reveal recessed shelf area, 5 large drawers, 4 smaller drawers, beautiful details everywhere, antler used for decoration around key holes and as small handles on sliders and drop in panel, lovely deep red translucent lacquer finish, Showa Period.
