Tel el-Yehudiyeh ware is a distinctive pottery of the late Middle Bronze Age approx. 1730 - 1550 B.C.E. (Hyksos period). The ware takes its name from its type site at Tel el-Yehudiyeh (meaning "mound of the Jews") in the eastern Nile Delta of Egypt where it was discovered by Flinders Petrie. Nice ancient Maccabean lamp, circa. 2nd Century B.C.E. This is a nice specimen for these SCARCE lamps. The Maccabeans disdained anything Greek and it is during their period in Judaea that we find the lamp styles reverting to that of the First Temple period while the general size and shape are contemporaneous with the Greek lamps. Custom lamp stand INCLUDED. Lamp measures 73mm length, 48mm width.
LARGE holyland burnished bowl. Early bronze age circa 3200 - 2650 B.C.E. A really nice piece with 3 decorated wavy indented handles. Diameter measures 23cm and height is 10 cm.
Nice sized Roman Glass jar, with a vertical design and wide body. 8.3cm height (3 1/4"), 6.9bm diameter (about 2 3/4"), perfect condition, no repairs. Circa. 1st - 3rd Centuries C.E., found in Israel.
