SIX Antique silver hookah pipe end collection.

(The photo shows 7 pieces - one has since had its snout broken at the joint and so the price quoted is for 6 pieces)

While hookah, hukkah or seesha pots were shared by a group of family or friends, the pipe ends were personal and not shared with others.

Royalty and nobility had pipe ends crafted in silver.

This is a collection of silver pipe ends from the mid 19th century from Awadh india.

Handmade porcelain figures of Chinese immortals with a lot of detail and handwork. I especially like the painting of the faces.

The bodies of the pair of approximately 9” tall statues bodies are painted in blue, red, green, brown over glaze enamels with gilt detailing. Black has been used for detailing on the faces and for the shoes and collar decoration. The robes show movement and nice draping. The bases have nice distinctive moldings of clouds, which swirl with movement...

A charming example of Abraham Parsell's ability to capture the essential characteristic of a sitter and portray them in a wonderful naïve manner. In the miniature portrait presented here we have a young man with striking blue eyes and a mound of curly hair. He is attired in a dark brown jacket, black vest, and white tie and shirt.

The condition of the painting is excellent, with no cracks, chips, bowing, fading, etc...

This tall and lovely Hagi chawan rests firmly on a wari kodai or “split foot” pedestal that is unglazed—displaying the coarse rich clay. The crackled milky glaze covers the curves and contours of the bowl, contrasting dramatically between the foot and the clay body. Hagi-ware such as this is part of a tradition stretching back over 400 years and is a high-fired stoneware type of pottery...
