Lovely 84 standard silver pickle fork with traditional engraved decoration on both the front and back of the handle, and on the back of the tines. Fully hallmarked for Moscow, 1895. The assayer's mark is that of A. Sevyer. The maker's mark is "NA" (transliterated).

An absolutely stunning Edo period (1700s) Kuro Oribe Chawan covered in thick, ink-black crackle glaze and some fine cream colored decoration.
The slightly irregular kutsu-gata form settles easily into the palm of the hand, with the built up rim resting lightly on the fingers. A high quality box called Shiho-zan is part of the offer. The four sides of the box are surrounded.

It is 1.2 inches (3.2 cm) tall and wide. It is 8.2 gram.
It has a small chip at the toe, missing signature cartouche at the bottom, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

Boro small rug or a part of it which is made of almost countless fragments of vegetable indigo dye cotton. In cold districts, such as Tohoku and along the Japan Sea area, cultivation of cotton was difficult and cotton cloth was precious in old days, so that people bought fragments of cotton and made them to noragi, futonji, rugs and so on. Old small chips to rim and foot.
Bronze pagoda cast in 3 parts. The bronze is very old, it has an excellent patina which makes me think it is from the Ming period or earlier. The casting is rustic, it has some defects. Probably a very old provincial work.The 4 sides of the pagoda are open with 4 doors with 2 bronze panels, opening and closing as needed. This makes a total of 8 panels for the 4 doors. 2 doors lead to 2 staircases with balusters...
Porcelain decorated with standing phoenix and floral on the center and four flower sprays on the cavetto, unglazed base. PERIOD : late Ming (1566-1643 AD) MEASUREMENTS: 19 cm wide. CONDITION: very good, no chips, cracks, hairlines and free from restorations. Good sound when tapping with finger tips.
