A Very Rare/Fine Korean Silver Inlaid with Orchids Iron Box-18th C.: Korea, Joeson dynasty, 18th century. This is a small silver inlaid box, but is a very rare and unusual decoration with Orchids and other floral motifs on the sides, with 4 yellow brass supporters on the bottom. It’s in fine condition but lost some silver inlays, otherwise good condition, it measures 8.2cm x 5.3cm x4.7cm high.

Antique Indonesian fine wood carved kris handle. The red/brown hardwood carved as a long-haired seated mythical figure with hands on their knees, with scrolling Cirebon (Cloud) motifs throughout. This imagery is tied to tantric Bhairavist cults. Coiled around the neck looks to be a Naga or serpent. The base of the carving is covered by the metal hilt and stands on an iron base.

An Arita abalone (Mother of Pearl) shaped dish painted in somenishikide style with a stylised landscape of Mountainous Islands, a shoreline with rocky outcrops with various trees including Pine, flowers and grasses with a rather peculiar and precarious structure in the foreground seemingly lacking several posts in its construction. The reverse decorated with landscape vignettes to the reverse and a six character mark for the Chinese Emperor Qianlong...

A fine large straight sided Japanese Ko Imari cup, inoguchi, or hogs mouth beaker; sometimes referred to as “soba choko”, a cup for “soba” buckwheat noodles. It is decorated primarily in underglaze blue with a leaping Chinese Lion or karashishi in a landscape of rocks and Tree Peonies, botan, a classic subject in Japanese art known as “Botan-ni-Shishi”, which combines the auspicious qualities of the King of Beasts and King of Flowers...

A divine, smiling SHAN STATE BRONZE BUDDHA subduing Mara position, sitting on a high stepped throne. Good condition overall, has some naturally formed verdigris patina and very little soil remnants. Size: height 16 cm x width at base 9.5 cm. (6 1/4" x 3 3/4"). Very fine Buddha statue!

Rare Japanese four drawer gyosho bako, or peddler's chest, constructed of Sugi (cedar) wood, with iron hardware and mounts, iron rings on the sides for carrying. The chest is trapezoidal in shape and tapers towards the top of the chest. Original finish and condition. With key included. Exhibited at the Palo Alto Cultural center

Antique Chinese framed hand-woven Kesi panel, made from silk with gold thread, depicting a scene of court women, attending to the central figure by offering her tea, a lotus, and other accoutrements. The surrounding area has large scholar rocks and plants with ruyi motifs, a platform with a picture of waves hung against the wall. The front and backside may be viewed through the framing, which has edges carved like bamboo with gold finish...

Tibetan Himalayan Hard Silver Seal or Chop with Yak leather rope with turquoise, coral and shell bead between, 19th Century, 3 5/8" high for silver Chop, 1 1/8" diameter on the bottom, with beautiful free flow of scrolling vines with Steel engraved with Buddhist motif bottom. This seal was found in Tibet during 1980's visit by collector, never been in commercial market before. The condition is good except small dent but not very much noticeable.

Antique Japanese rare plique-a-jour cloisonne vase. This is a very early plique and in perfect condition. Intricate enamel design of a blossoming tree and a blue bird flying through a light blue sky with little clouds. The design is made with fine silver wire and enamel. Plique-a-jour is made when the inside metal armature has been etched away until the enamel is held in place by the wires only. The effect is a beautiful jewel-like translucency...

A Korean vase 19th century. The pear shape vase with a long neck and fluted rim has a cream color glossy transparent glaze. A small gold leaf repair to the lip done in the Kintsugi style.

Shoulao is one of the Three Star Gods of Fortune known as Fu Lu Shou, who represent happiness and prosperity, status and authority and health and longevity...

An outstanding and very large pottery sculpture of a Fish, Indonesia, Majahapit Empire, 13th.-14th. century AD.

The sculpture comes with a termo-Luminescence test from Kotalla Laboratory in Dec. 2020, the vessel tested as ca. 590 years old.

The fish is resting on a large podium with it's tail and head lifted, it's sharp teeth visible in a large curving mouth...
