This is a Jinbaori (sleeveless campaign jacket worn over armor) made with kuzu cloth used by the precious natural cloth of the Edo period, the top of the samurai. The family crest is hidari - hitotsu - myoga no marumon. It is an item of the original Edo period. There are thin dirt and slight damage. I think that the weft is kuzu cloth and the warp is hemp or Kuzuu. Because it was used in the Edo period, it seems that silver foil was applied on the Japanese paper around the sleeve, but...

DESCRIPTION: An antique Spanish Colonial style painted sheet metal mirror, 19th to early 20th C., continental Europe. Acanthus leaves decorate the painted border, topped by an elaborate floral crest with center figural medallion. PROVENANCE: From the Collection of Eugene V. and Clare E. Thaw. CONDITION: Good, few minor dents to sheet metal. DIMENSIONS: 19.25" high x 10.75" wide.

Twelve(12) Tiffany retailed English Mintons Porcelain Dinner Plates, Ca. 1912-1950, 10 1/4" diameter, Burgundy wine color with encrusted raised Gold border and pale Lemon color wide rim. Marked "Mintons Tiffany & Co. New York, Made in England" on the bottom with raised purple color glove. The condition is good.

The compressed globular body supported by three conical feet, with a pair of loop handles rising from the rim. PERIOD: Ming Dynasty. MEASURES: Height from feet to handle 10 cm and diameter 2.5 cm. CONDITION: No chips, cracks or hairlines and free from restorations.

A beautiful replica of the famous Bronze Running Horse or the Galloping Horse. The original horse was made durning the Han Dynasty.
