This is a superb Chinese yixing teapot MENGCHEN brass mounted on the rims, base & finial on purple & brown clay. It's nicely polished in the turn of the century. There is a repair on the inner portion of the rim, a fine hairline on the lid...

With compressed globular body rising to a tall neck and flared rim, covered overall, and on the base, with an unctuous glaze of green tone, the foot rim left unglazed exposing the red burn. Southern Song Dynasty (1127–1279) Dimension : (9.5 cm.) high, 11 cm wide Condition : perfect, no chips, cracks, or hairlines and free from restorations.

This is a superb Chinese yixing teapot GONJU with dark brown clay. It's well balanced in the hand. There are some chips in the inner lid, otherwise it's in excellent condition. It's signed GONGJU mark on the base.

She holds her hands clasped in prayer or meditation and wears long, white robes with a hood pulled over her head. She is seated upon a blue-green glazed pedestal with deep blue and red flecking. A “fuku” mark in underglaze blue is painted on the base of each, and an iron-red cash symbol is drawn on the exterior wall...
