These came from the Sino/Lao Fansipan Mountains border area and date circa 80 to 90 years old. 3.6cm/1.4in x 3.6cm/1.4in x 3.6cm/1.4in. There is ne age related crack.

With the mark last used in 1896 by F M Whiting to be changed to Frank M Whiting Co of North Attleboro MA, one finds this sterling silver bypass napkin ring or could it double as a baby bracelet? You can find the maker's mark of what appears to be a winged griffin? Please see page 367 of Schiffer's Revised Fourth Edition of Encyclopedia of American Silver Manufacturers.

Large Chinese Qing dynasty scholar’s bamboo cylindrical form brush pot (bitong) with a carved and pierced high relief continuous scene of six scholars examining a long scroll in a landscape setting among pine trees, craggy cliffs, and rockery. The bottom is recessed, and the base holds three short feet. 18th/19th century. 7” high x 5 1/2” diameter. Very good overall condition with typical natural cracks at the top and bottom.
