A Chinese storage or makeup box made of rosewood, with old glass mirror panel on the front door. Late Qing Dynasty or early Republic period. An unusual pair of large wooden male twins, Nigeria, Yoruba, 19th. cent.

The fine twins are wearing round helmet-like headdresses and exceptional facial features including large teeth! Both adorned with jewelry. Note the preserved body pigments, that is often washed off on older figures!

The figure is delicately modeled in porcelain and finished with a clear glaze. The last two characters, of the the faint impressed seal on the back, read Yi Ren. Republic Period. Offered is this very rare Daum Nancy Pate de Verre snail figurine, made around 1920 (while Argy-Rousseau and Amalric Walter pate de Verre figurines come up to the marketplace on a somewhat regular basis, one rarely encounters an original Daum Nancy Pate de Verre figurine). The figurine is 5 3/4 inches (14,5 cm) long, 5 1/4 inches (13,5 cm) wide and 2 7/8 inches (7,5 cm) tall. It is in great condition. Signed 'Daum Nancy' with the cross-of-Lorraine (see picture)...

Large Burmese hammered repousse copper-brass-bronze alloy bowl, with traces of silver, decorated with various mythological animals and stylized scroll foliage. Such bowls were used in Buddhist ceremonies. Bowl shows wear over the years and aged patina, 19th Century, Burma. Size: 15 cm x 26 cm. (6" x 10")

An unusually fine Baccarat pansy glass paperweight from the Dupont era. The blossom is nicely worked with deep purple upper petals and mustardy-yellow lowers. The flower is centered with a complex cane star rods encircling a red and white bull's-eye rod. The flower is accented with ten finely-veined leaves in an unusually bright green color and a well-formed bud. The concave base is finished with a 16-rayed star that visually extends all the way to the periphery when viewed through the dome...

An extraordinary photo frame made of steel and decorated with scrolling leaf in silver koftgari work, the surface covered with gilt lacquer. The back embellished with geometric pattern. Condition: decoration with little wear and partial loss of lacquer, two clamps missing. Dimension: 24.5 cm, 15.5 cm wide, weight: 466 g.
