This late 19th century Chinese Famille Rose leaf shape tile is 9 ¾” long, 8 ¼” on the widest part and a quarter of an inch thick. It depicts Emperor Wusu wearing armor and holding his hands in front of his chest. Aside from one small chip on the rim, it is in great condition.

This Qing Dynasty Guang Xu period (1875~1908) carved bamboo brush holder is 6 ¾” high, 5” in diameter and ½” thick. It depicts Chinese sages’ daily life. Some are chatting with each other; some are reading in a hut; and some are walking across a bridge. The inscribed poem translates to “I asked the young boy (standing) under the pine tree, where did your master go? The young boy answered, master went to the mountain looking for herbs for medicine...

A Hand Painted Bavarian chocolate set for the Late 19th century.Consists of a Chocolate of Coffee Pot (9.5") and Six Cups (3.25". The Design Consists of Hand Painted Florals. There are a few small wear spots on the bottom edge of the cups, but otherwise it is excellent condition.

Very interesting,bowl. Porcelaneous grey stoneware with a underglaze red decoration under a greenish colour fine crackled glaze. I am not very familiar with korean resp. japanese ceramics - I never before have seen a piece like this, but I know, how to look at a piece of porcelain resp. stoneware - this piece is genuine. It also has a " provinience " - it comes from a native Dayak family - very far from the interior of Kalimantan, Borneo. Diameter : 16,3 cm...

Excavated in Kalimantan, Borneo. The piece is small, like most of the Song Geyao items, the shape is like Song, the glaze is like Song, but the clay ( porcelaneous ) looks different, and so unfortunately I have to be confident, that it must be a 18th century piece. What is confusing, is, that the piece was excavated together with some broken, ordinary Song pieces, and that there have not been found any other Qing material at this lokation. The piece is very nice, and in a perfect condition...

Rare korean Choson period blue and white dish. ( 18th - 19th cetury ) Very nice condition - if you look very close, you see 1 very short fiering crack and 1 very small chip, which also seems to date to the time of production. Diameter : 20,2 cm.

A large Dresden Porcelain Ewer by Sitzendorf (Thuringia, Germany). It is heavily decorated with puttis and weighs 4 lbs. 10 oz. and measures 15" high x 7" wide. It dates from 1887-1896. There is a slight chip on the hoof below the lip of the ewer, otherwise in excellent condition.

Ming Dynasty Hongzhi period ( 1488 - 1505 ) blue and white bowl. Very nice glaze and kobalt blue. The waterplant design on the inside of the bowl reminds on the typical waterplant desing of the earlier Chenghua pieces. Nice condition - no cracks, repaired rim fritting at one part of the rim which is viseable at enlargement 6. Diameter : 15 cm.

This beautiful bed, circa 1860, is exquisitely carved rosewood. It has deep, three-dimentional lilies of the valley, along with other flowers and ornaments. It measures 7 feet tall x 58" wide x 80" long. We have a double matress on it now, but there is room both in the length and wide for a larger matress to be made. This beautiful bed is in terrific original condition.

Beautiful flame mahogany dressing table with marble top, all in excellent original condition. This lovely table is transitional from Empire to Victorian, circa 1870. It has a shell stretcher, and perfectly matched flame mahogany drawers. It measures approximately 73 1/2" tall x 39 1/2" wide x 23" deep.

One of the best back bars ever, this measures almost 12 feet tall and almost 20 feet long! It is made of cherry and walnut burl, American, circa 1880's. There are three leaded glass windows, two as cabinet doors, and one as center top, supported by marble pillars. There are no words to describe this incredible piece, and the pictures really don't do it justice, but you can get an idea. This wonderful bar needs to go into either a fabulous home, or a restaurant or hotel...

The rich dark rosewood and the beautiful grained maple combine to make this Victorian Renaissance Revival bedroom set a fabulous piece of craftsmanship; this set was obviously created for a special person, as his/her initials are carved into each piece; consisting of a bed with beautiful headboard and footboard and side rails that are just as well done, along with tall marble top dresser and matching chair

Walnut Victorian Corner Bookcase -- In all our years specializing in American Victorian furniture, we have never come across a bookcase like this; it is made of walnut, circa 1880, made to fit into a corner of a room; one side is wider than the other; it measures 71" x 21" on the long side, and 58" x 21" on the shorter side; it is 8' tall, and the bookshelves are 10" deep

As is all coffee tables of this type, this lovely marble turtle top table has been cut down to make coffee table height. It measures 21" tall x 36" wide x 26" deep and is in lovely condition.

 

Song Dynastie ( 12th - 13th century ) stoneware Temmoku with an extremely nice hares fur glaze ! This is our very best Temmoku until today ! Bowls like this were produced at the Jian kilns in Fujian province and at kilns in Henan province. Perfect condition and a glaze like never seen before ! Diameter : 12,9 cm. H : 7,2 cm. I garantie, that this piece is genuine - also this piece had been excavated at Selayar Island - south Sulawesi !
