A splendid antique 19th century, Islamic, Indonesian shield of circular convex form and the flat outer rim made of hand-forged copper, applied with finely hand cut brass script in Arabic calligraphy, soldered to the surface of the shield and adorned with brass rosette repousee and pierced in lotus flower heads, four domed brass bosses and four elaborate plaques, the repousee is pierced with arabesque design. Antique Chinese Guan Style Ware Plate. Shallow bowl form with decorative foliate rim. Pale celadon glaze with traditional and highly prized crackle. The foot on the underside has been left unglazed but the inset area of the bottom is treated with the same pale celadon crackle glaze.

Pretty Edwardian sterling silver picture frame. Made by Mauser in New York, ca 1900. Rectangular window and wide border engraved with scrollwork, foliage, and pendant bow-tied flowers. A whimsical Japanese Hirado ware porcelain fu dog holding a reticulated xi qui ball under its paw. The precious face of the dog is hand detailed with shapely nose, fangs, whiskers, and tiny carved eyes. The dog has cobalt blue enamel swirl accents to its fur.

This very well carved brush holder is an early 20th century product. On one side, it depicts six children playing with fire crackers during New Year; on the other side there is a big red character “Fu,” good luck. There are mountain and river scenes on the bottom inside and outside. It is almost 5” high, 4” wide and 3 ½” thick. It is in great condition aside from some old cracks.

A lustrous antique Vietnamese tea bowl from the 11th-13th Century. The ivory coloring glaze has hints of blue in the central portion. The bowl is incised with 2 little boys surrounded by floral and pomegranate with a ring of dots. Indication that this piece was pressed from a mold. The rim is unglazed, as is the small footing...

Rare lacquered bronze fibula inlaid with yellow metal nails which seems to be gold because it does not oxidize. The construction of this jewel is special, in fact the bronze base was cast and then pierced with thousands of holes in which tiny nails were fixed, welded or perhaps simply forced in. Then the whole was covered with brown lacquer...
