Antique Japanese tsuba (hand guard for samurai katana) decorated with a monkey peeking though the bamboo rails of a cage or gate. Often occurring in Japanese folk tales, the monkey generally symbolizes a trickster. Meiji (1868-1912) Japanese Komai Marked Mixed Metal Iron Plate with Immortal Riding Dragon

It is 0.78 inch (2 cm) tall by 7.25 inches (18.4 cm) wide. It is 0.9 Lb.

It is tarnished and has rust, stains, rubbing of gilt, oxidation, and surface wears and scratches (as seen in the photos).

A rare Chinese enamel on copper medallion bowl decorated with three red-crowned cranes each holding a lingzhi, against a pink background. The interior with flowering peony. 18Th ~ 19th century.

The medallion bowls, three roundels against a coloured background, were produced in porcelain from the Qianlong reign to the Daoguang in the main, this bowl appears to be the enameller’s answer to the challenge.
