Turn-of-the-century French gilt bronze picture frame with lilac enamel. Rectangular window in concave surround with applied garlands in turn surround by wraparound tubular lilac enamel covered with pierced ornament at corners. Beaded, imbricated leaf, and egg-and-dart borders. Ribbon-tied garland crown. With glass and hinged support. Very good condition.

A small Bilston patch box, enamel on copper, mid-18th century, in a design somewhere between Rococo and Louis XVI: the outer shape softly rounded, the pattern more strict, of diaper type, textile-like. Patches, often in black silk, were used to conceal scars or blemishes from smallpox or other diseases. At the time Bilston, a town in West Midlands was famous for their enamel boxes. Width "1 ¾ / 4.8 cm. Condition: enamel flakes to lid and base (cf. pics).
Featuring an artistic antique Japanese, Namikawa Sosuke style 4 sided silver wire cloisonne vase. The vase depicts a pair of heron wading in water, surrounded by water plants, a large shaded pink flower, branches and cascading limbs on all 4 sides. The pale blue background shades in a subtle gradation from a light blue at the top to a pale gray-blue towards the base with a hint of green. The border at the neck is reminiscent of early Sosuke pieces...

This a marvelous silver cigarette case depicting in very fine detail an alluring design by the famous Italian painter, Giovanni Guerzoni (1876-1948) depicting a lovely lady enjoying the motion waves of the sea, while the delightful sunset light touches her skin. Featuring a lovely Japanese cloisonne ginbari cloisonne enamel silver wire vase with subtle iris motif in soft shades of lavender, blue, pink and green leaves. The iris design encircles the entire vase, a rare motif in ginbari. The background shades from silvery blue at the neck to silver at the base. Wonderful to wear as a pendant this retractable pencil slides into an enameled gilded mummy. In the 1870s-1880s, the Egyptian Revival styles were in vogue as archaeological digs discovered ancient tombs that brought to light rare finds. Their motifs were incorporated into jewelry, objects, furniture, glass and pottery.
Tall sterling silver, pink guilloche enamel, and cut crystal vase by The Thomae Company of Attleboro, Massachusetts. Base is weighted and the crystal is finely “wheel cut” in a floral design. This stunning vase measures 10 7/8 inches high x 3 1/2" diameter across top. Dates circa 1915.
