A pretty Victorian sterling silver berry or preserves spoon in Towle’s 1887 “Clover” pattern. Both the handle and bowl are decorated with bright-cut engraving of clover flowers and foliage. The bowl has a scalloped upper border, repoussed lobes, and matte gilding. The back is marked with Towle’s hallmark and the patent date.

Edwardian Classical water pitcher. Made by Redlich in New York, ca 1890. Clear cut-glass with bead-and-reel bands on bowl and brilliant star on underside; Neck faceted and notched with reeded bands. Sterling silver collar with helmet mouth and applied leafing scroll and beaded rim. Silver-mounted horn handle. A beautiful big game-era piece. Silver fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. 305. Excellent condition.

A wonderfully patinated massive iron cannon, Spain, ca. later 16th. century.

A large and impressive cannon for the type from very old collection - the cannon measure 15,2 cm. in height and 8,7 cm. wide at the base. The weight is around 3700 grams!

Provenance: Danish Private collection of Grethe Pedersen, Ledøje, Denmark, ca. 1950-1997. Purchased at Kastella, Copenhagen Antique Dealer, 1962.

A very fine berry or casserole spoon in John R. Wendt's "Medallion" pattern. The handle features an oval reserve centered with a medallion profile of the Greek goddess Pallas Athena. The elongated bowl is beautifully scalloped. The back of the medallion has a period monogram "A" and the stem is marked with the retailer's mark for Ball, Black & Co. and with "925" for sterling. Wendt did not use his own hallmark in this period.

Oval silver box and lid of tea caddy shape, the knop of the lid a natural oval stone, probably veined gneiss. Engraved Georgian style borders and crest, the crest with a dedication, “From Steanis”, a gift in Georgian style and probably made around 1900. The box is unmarked and has been tested as sterling silver. Its weight is 798 grams. Length "7 ¼ / 18.5 cm, height including the knob "4 ¾ / 12cm. Very fine ornate sterling silver server for either fish or ice cream. The handle is covered with a pattern of hibiscus flowers and swirling foliage. The floral element is echoed in the beautifully engraved floral pattern on the blade. The blade is finished off with a very ornate outline. Many American silversmiths did not mark their names until the early 20th century, and the back is marked only "Sterling."

Spectacular and rare sterling silver souvenir spoon by Tiffany & Co. The spoon commemorates Commodore George Dewey's 1898 victory at the Battle of Manila during the Spanish-American War.
