A genuine late 17th to mid 18th century hand made openwork European grade sterling pierced strainer or ladle with a gilded bowl. This is a rare Victorian sterling diner’s napkin hook with a patent date of 1879. A real conversation starter! Diner’s napkin hooks have been in existence since the 17th century, but were all the rage during the Victorian era. To keep from spilling food on their finery, gentlemen simply attached their napkin to the clip on one end and then put the small hook over the top of their collars. Condition: excellent. This is a fabulous Victorian sterling ladies’ card case for that special collector, marked "sterling and "W&H" for the well-known New York silversmiths Wood & Hughes. The shaped case, with an attachment for a chain, has beautiful foliate engraving surrounding a central cartouche with the name "Hettie" and "1876" in the center; a Victorian heart is engraved on the reverse. Condition: very good with minor nicks; hinged lid snaps closed evenly. Measurement: 3.50 in long. x 2.50 in. wide

Extremely elegant Louis XV-style French silver master salt dip with cobalt glass liners. The shapes of the containers remind me of Louis XV bombe commodes. The repousse design is very architectural in nature, and makes use of numerous decorative elements such as fluted columns, ribbons, cartouches, and pendant bellflowers. Surprisingly, none of the four cartouches has ever been monogrammed. Although intended for salt only, this piece could be used today to serve both salt and pepper...

A Pair of Silver Open Salts with a clear glass liner; from Germany (Augsburg?), dating from the late 19th century. An open work design features a mythological figure of a bird/animal. The dimensions are 3.5" x 1.5" x 2.5" high. There is one original spoon with the set.

This is a beautiful American sterling silver bowl made by Whiting Manufacturing Co. It is oval shaped with a shallow center and is partially looped and bordered by flowers. The sides of this bowl are looped into a c-scroll rim. It is monogrammed, 10 1/2 inches long and weighs 7.92 oz. and in excellent condition.

Rare Art Deco box circa 1900-1920. The top displayed geometric design in pewter and tortoiseshell. The sides and bottom exhibit lovely relief of flowers and birds.
