A good bronze, likely of the god Herculas (now missing the club), with fine patina and mounted by way of a brass pin. The mounting is old and the collection whence it came is old too.
We're not certain about the age of this piece so we're selling it as antique but not as ancient.

Offered is a lovely and scarce matched pair of quite early Old English Feather Edge pattern platter spoons or stuffing spoons, each fully hallmarked for London, 1774 and each bearing the maker's mark of noted London silversmith Thomas Chawner. Each server is engraved with an armorial of a dog, perhaps a spaniel of some kind...

Offered is a lovely set of 19th Century French silver tea or coffee spoons by Paris silversmith François Pamphile Josan; these date to the post-1838 period. The gilding on each spoon is strong, and the design is nicely struck. Each spoon bears Josan's maker's mark and a fineness mark, perhaps for second standard (800/1000 fineness)...
