A pair of tall Sheffield plate candlesticks with conforming bobeche. On round bases with lines alternating with elongated ovals up the base, column and socket. This style was current around 1800. The wear or “bleed” where the copper shows is on the high places. They are 12 inches (30.5 cm) tall and 5 ½ inches (14 cm) diameter at the base. No marks. Probably English.

Condition: no breaks or repairs...

German Neoclassical silver urn, 18th century. Oval tapering bowl on raised and stepped foot. Cover domed with vasiform finial. Chased imbricated leaf border at bowl bottom; same on cover dome. Visible hammering and handwork. Marked. Good condition.

A wonderful solid brass humidor, the top embossed with the double eagle insignia of Russia's Imperial Romanov family, and the front embossed with the double lions rampant of the British Empire. A heavy bronze not for table use, fine details cast decoration, probably Flemish, c. 1550!

The early piece of bronze art is decorated with what looks like saints (old bearded men) on the sides and a framed band of angels with spread wings among floral decor nearer the top.

Century sterling silver fish serving pair. Made by Dominick & Haff in New York, ca 1900. Each: Threaded and tapering stem with scroll and shell terminal. The slice has a scroll shaped blade. The fork has shaped shank and four scrolled tines. Edwardian Classicism for the new century. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Hansel, Sloan & Co.) stamps, and patent year (1900). A gorgeous boxed set of 12 sterling silver demitasse spoons in the “Wild Rose” variation of the “Vine” pattern. The spoons have gilt bowls in the elongated shape often seen in Tiffany demitasse spoons. The bowls enhanced with soft matte gilding. Each is stamped with the Tiffany mark used 1873-1891. The spoons are presented in their original fitted box lined in “Tiffany blue” silk and embossed with the company’s logo...

A very ornate hand chased silver hip flask with a hinged rotating bayonet cap. Monogrammed on the cap, it also has the date 1892. There is a small dent on the cap. Measures 6” high x 3.5".

Exquisite pierced sterling silver bride’s basket vase by Frank W. Smith. The basket flares out from a narrow base decorated with scrolling acanthus leaves. The sides are decorated with an intricate pierced motif and the upper border repeats the decoration at the foot. The handles is pierced and heavily decorated with scrolls and foliate designs that elaborate on the simpler foot and lip rims. The basket retains its original silverplate liner...

Sterling silver bonbon spoon in Baker-Manchester’s 1900 “Spartan” pattern. The wonderful design incorporates a knight’s helmet with exuberant feathers and foliage. The matte-finished bowl has both pierced and bright-cut decoration. The reverse is marked with Baker-Manchester’s hallmark and the patent date.
