It ios marked 950, higher than the sterling 925 standard, and used briefly during the transition from coin to sterling. An Elegant Script Monogram is on the Front Cartouche. This ornate and out of the ordinary example of Victorian and Edwardian table serving pieces measures 8-5/8" long and it has the shape and three tines found on bread serving forks of this period (however it can be used for whatever purpose you wish). Just incredible! This lovely Duhme Victorian Sterling Silver Ladle dated October 10, 1864, with spiral stem and engraved hamdle, is exquisite. The cartouche is engraved with "Hannah" The ladle measures 11.5 inches long with a generous bowl 3 3/4 inches wide. It weighs 4 ounces. A magnificent piece in excellent condition.

A very pretty sterling silver berry or casserole spoon by Durgin. The handle is nicely engraved in an ivy pattern, while the gilt bowl is engraved with a flock of butterflies. The back is stamped with Durgin's earliest hallmark.

The open sugar has a mouth opening of 3 1/4", the creamer 2 1/2". The open sugar is 2 3/4" tall, the creamer2 1/8".
