Pair of German silver birds, ca 1920. A rooster and hen with downturned wings and flamboyant flouncy tails. The rooster has a shaggy crown and raised talon and looks down while the hen, who has a small trim crown and scaly wattles, looks up. Cawing beaks suggest a barnyard tiff. Marked. Very good condition Gilt wash traces.

Beautiful Italian 800 silver repousse sugar box. This sugar box with lid, was made in Milano, 19th Century. A finely chiselled foliage decor encompasses the entire sugar box. Marking located on the bottom.
Measurements: 6.69" (17 cm) height X 7.08" (18 cm) including handles X 4.33" (11 cm) diameter.

Very handsome and heavy sterling silver master salt dish in the Georgian style. The flattened spherical body has a modified egg and dart border and is raised on acanthus leaf legs terminating in animal paw feet. Goodnow & Jenks was Boston's finest silversmith, albeit only for a short period, 1893-1905. The bottom is marked with the maker's mark, as well as a partially obscured retailer's mark.

A very good first standard (950/1000 pure) silver small-size tastevin by the highly regarded Dijon silversmith Marc Parrod. This example retains the classic round shape with a convex bottom, but the usual "godrons" and "cupules" gare replaced by repoussé grape clusters alternating with raised "perles". Each grape cluster is accented with stylized vines. Parrod was particularly noted for this unique variation...

Very fine French engraved sterling chalice. This chalice measures 8 1/4" tall with a 4" diameter top and 5 1/2" diameter base. The mid-section has a deeply engraved petal design with four engraved circular accents. The cup interior is gilded and the base is hollow. Marked with the Minerva head with a 1 (First standard-950 silver). Circa 1915. Very good condition.

Elegant and fine work by Robert Hennell of London, hallmarks of 1791 with Georgian head, the silver with reticulated cut outs and fine line engraving, armorial figure of animal, original cobalt blue glass liner. Robert Hennell (British 1741-1811) was one of the renowned members of his family known for very fine silversmith expertise in London, and his works are in major museums and collections throughout the world. A lovely pair of Walker & Hall sterling silver shamrock or clover mint bowls. This Edwardian pair of figural dishes measure 4-1/2" x 4" in width. They have a pierced ornate design and have the Chester year hallmark for 1906, as well as the W&H flag maker's mark. They weigh 73.6 grams. Gorgeous sterling silver berry spoon in Durgin's 1891 "Watteau" pattern. The rococo design of the handle is wonderful on its own, but when combined with the decoration of the bowl, it's stunning! The back is hallmarked by Durgin.

Very large and Early Silver Beaker, North European, Baroque period, dated 1701.

Perhaps misleading to call this large Baroque Silver vessel, a beaker, it could be used as a vase. A beautiful engraved vessel with dotted decoration on the body and with a central medallion engraved with CFS:BRD and below the dating 1701. A double concenthric line to the rim which is engraved with the letters P:L:A:M:B.

A delightful sterling silver photograph frame intended to celebrate the arrival of a newborn. Designed by Lebkeucher & Co. (1896-1909), the frame is ornately decorated with storks, song birds and climbing roses. The top border has a reserve for engraving the baby’s name. The bottom border has a reserve for adding the birth date, a clock on which the time of birth can be engraved, and a scale on which the weight may be added. The frame retains its original black composition easel back...

A large sterling silver trophy goblet for the Victoria Hotel Wolverton Billiard Handicap. London, 1901. by Robert Pringle and Sons. Size: 11 inches ht. Weight: 15.5 Troy ounces. "Won for the first time by Mr. H.S. Dunleary, December 1901." The with subsequent winners names in Jan. and Mar. 1904. Excellent condition.

Pretty Art Nouveau sterling silver picture frame. Made by Meriden Britannia (part of International) in Connecticut, ca 1900. Rectangular window in flat surround with irregular interior rim. On front acid-etched wraparound scrolling leafing branch threaded-through corner circles; sides plain. With glass, silk lining, and velvet back and hinged easel support. Fully marked including maker’s stamp and no. C878. Very good condition with strong definition.
