Wonderful antique English silver-enameled cigarette box, Chester England made by Walker & Hall co. 1934, fully hallmarked, depicting pair of dogs, equipped with push bottom, still retains the elastic fabric cigarette retainers. Measurements: 3 1/4" x 2.5" and in very good condition.

A William IV sterling silver vinaigrette made by Thomas Shaw of Birmingham, England 1833. Vinaigrettes were used in the 18th and 19th century as a personal hygiene accessory for the moneyed class and were used to carry pleasant oils and attars or vinegars which were absorbed into cloth pads under the pierced gilded grillwork and sniffed so as to cover up the smells of everyday life (when there were open sewers and waste and garbage were tossed from windows onto the sidewalks and streets below)...

Description: Striking and well crafted Persian hand made silver dish, Decorated in high relief with scenes depicting Archaemennid king Darius fighting mythological beast and also Archaemennid's religious and monarchy's symbolic figures on center surrounded by engraved foliage. The handle is also decorated with leaves and rosebud. workmanship is well. Dimensions: 6"H x 7"W x 4.5"D. This item belongs to late 19th to early 20th century from city of Shiraz in good condition.

Pair of Lancaster sterling silver ice tongs. Made by Gorham in Providence, ca 1900. U-form with beaded stem and floral terminal. One jaw ovoid and scalloped with ornamental piercing; the other a cast claw with five talons. A nice early piece in this pattern, which was first produced in 1897. Fully marked including maker’s and retailer’s (Shreve & Co.) stamps. Condition: Nice definition. Taut and springy.

A classic 19th century 2nd standard (800/1000 pure silver) tastevin, inset at the base with a 1669 coin bearing the likeness of King Louis XIV surrounded by "Louis XIV by grace of God King of France and Navarre." The obverse of the coin can be seen from the bottom of the tastevin. The coin is surrounded by the typical pattern of "perles" and elongated "godrons" designed to create reflections in the wine to better judge its color and clarity...
