An Art Nouveau sterling silver overlay 5" trivet or table stand 1900-10. This tableware item has thick hand-engraved silver overlay applied to the round glass disc. A George III Scottish Silver Sugar and Cream Jug by Francis Howden and hallmarked in Edinburgh in 1810. Bright cut engraved decoration. Gilt interior and reeded border. The marks are faint, but between the two pieces can be made out. Dimensions; creamer 8" x 4.5"; sugar 5.75" x 4.5"; weight 16.5 Troy ounces total. Excellent condition.
