A rare French silver (950/1000 pure silver) tastevin from the reign of Louis XVI. This classic example features a classic design of angled “godrons” (grooves) accented with raised “perles” (pearls). The lack of deeply recessed “cupules” suggests that this wine taster was specifically intended for use with white wines. The center of the bottom has the expected tiny lathe mark where the vessel was raised from a solid block of silver...

Hinged and flush cover with stained-wood finial. Chased scrollwork, diaper, and scallop shells. Marked. Short and straight foot. Very good condition. A Matched Set of Six Sterling Silver Georgian Dessert Spoons; Hallmarked in London, 1772, with the makers mark of WF, for William Fearn. The pattern is Old English with feather edges Dimensions 6.75", weight 7.3 T ounces. Bottom struck marks at narrow part of the stem, typical of the time, but somewhat indistinct. In excellent condition.

German Classical silver beaker cup, 18th century. At top leafing scrollwork and scallop shells; at bottom twisted leaf-and dart border. Ornament chased and heightened with engraving. This is a large, solid silver circular basin that has been embossed from a single piece of silver. It has fluted, petal-shaped walls and a fully hand-forged scalloped rim. The basin's center is exquisitely repoussé and finely chased, showcasing a raised Spanish coat-of-arms within bands adorned with foliage...

George III sterling silver mug, London, 1765, with tapering sides and featuring an acanthus leaf capped double scroll handle and a stepped base. Marks rubbed and maker's mark indistinct. No repairs or erasures. Size: 3 3/4 inches ht. X 4 1/4 inches across handle X 3 inches diameter. Condition: minor bruising to sides.

Very large and Early Silver Beaker, North European, Baroque period, dated 1701.

Perhaps misleading to call this large Baroque Silver vessel, a beaker, it could be used as a vase. A beautiful engraved vessel with dotted decoration on the body and with a central medallion engraved with CFS:BRD and below the dating 1701. A double concenthric line to the rim which is engraved with the letters P:L:A:M:B.

Size: 12,4 cm. heigh and ca. 11 cm. wide.

A lovely enamel silver box, made in the mid 20th. century and mounted with an exceptional quality baroque carving of winged Puttis, c. late 17th. century AD.

High quality silver work in sterling silver with enamel, probably Austrian work (?). In the center a fantastic detailed pastorial carving of 4 Puttis eating grapes and carressing a lamb, probably a work from a Flemish master (Flandern).

A finely decorated octagonal jar with lid, made for carrying fat for musket bullits, late 17th. cent.

A rare box fully inscribed with fine caligraphy from the Coran and still with remnants of the original 300-400 years old content inside. The box has a lid and the hinges and lock are in intact workable condition. Silver is testing more than .800, though there's no silver marks.

Size: 56-57 mm. in diameter and c 25 mm. tall.
