Very rare antique, 17th century (circa 1650 A.D.) Polish Winged Hussar massive sword (broadsword) Pałasz (pallasch) with a karabela hilt and a semi-closed guard composed of a carved horn grip, secured to the tang of the blade with three rivets with domed pewter heads (one rivet has a silver washer).

The steel guard has a semi-closed knuckle bow, faceted crossguard and langets, and down curved quillon...

An impressive early Pewter Stein, Germany, dated 1798 on the lid, but probably made much earlier in the 18th. century.

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with frases / sayings and images of Crowned Guild symbolics, a heart and a crowned cross etc. The lid also engraved with a owners name - MARGRETA JURGSEN 1794.

With German Pewter touchmarks, perhaps dating it 1733 (?).

Such high quality tankard from this period is very rare!

Profusely decorated over the entire surface with two soldiers, one holding a sword, the other soldier a helbard, on either side of a Free Masons symbol of crossed tools under an elaborate crown. Facial masks and Guild symbols below. The lid beautifully engraved with a German text, reading BIS BRÜDERLICE EINGIKEIT 1665. A tankard probably made as a memorial of the founding of the Guild.
