Chinese silver mug, ca 1865. Straight and upward tapering sides with dense low-relief frieze: Spearmen and swordsmen on foot and horse thrust and lunge and, in some cases, fall in battle. Applied armorial shield with engraved presentation dated “May 4th 1865”. S-scroll handle in form of scaly dragon with horned head peering over rim. Marked. Very good condition with deep patina.

Chinese export silver mug, ca 1850. Straight and upward tapering sides applied with leafing bamboo on stippled ground. Branch-form handle and rims. Applied rondel engraved with single-letter monogram in buckled belt. On underside is engraved “H. J. T. / 1855”. Interior gilt washed. Chinese mark and initials KHC for Khe Cheong, a Canton silversmith and retailer active from ca 1830s-70s. Very good condition.

This wonderfully decorative Victorian sterling silver fork by Frank M. Whiting Co. was used to serve pastry at the time but would enhance any table setting today. It is reticulated with a scroll foliage design in repousse, tongs are splayed, monogram KC in script, marked Sterling, Frank M. Whiting maker's mark, 14 Pat. Mar 7, 98, measures 7 1/4 in. Excellent condition.
Fine quality Japanese Meiji silver incense burner, ca 1890. Barrel-form with solid top and bottom and open sides; applied chrysanthemums heightened with gold and silver. Cover oval and flush; finial in form of big loosely-tied bow with tassels. Ends plain and studded; copper and gold ornament with central mons encircled by two scaly, taloned dragons. Scrolled cradle mounted to pillar with brackets on four scroll supports. Applied leafing and flowering tendrils.

Very lovely 19th C. heavy bronze picture frame with a raised floral motif and a flying bird. This frame has a textured surface and an empty cartouche in the corner. The oval picture opening measures 2 5/8" by 2 1/8"; and the frame measures 6 3/4" by 5". The back is copper with a wooden easel. This beautiful frame weighs 1 1/2 lbs. Circa 1880. Mint condition.
