Outstanding Baltimore Album quilt that combines both traditional and whimsical, original blocks. The eagle draws the eye to the center and then allows it to meander through the variety of finely detailed blocks. A wonderful hand sewn, hand embroidered 19th century men’s smoking cap in rich brown velvet with a deep red tassel! The fez style cap is embroidered with olive and cream silks in a floral motif. In wonderful condition, from the crimson lining to the red tassel! Measures roughly 6 ½” in diameter and 3” deep.

Fantastic 19th century dance card, probably Austrian, comprising an assemblage of mountain climbing gear, suspended from a chatelaine hook by a blue silk cord and topped with a chenille tassel. The front features what I believe is either a snowshoe or a ski carrier, complete with buckled leather straps, under which lies an ice axe crossed with a trekking pole. The card cover is in blue silk with the original pencil; the pages are empty...
Antique Turkish runner, Konya area, probably Kurdish made, second half of the 19th Century. It features a series of four panel with alternating red and green grounds; extra end panels with mirhabs; and animal and human figures in each of the square panels. It probably dates from the 1870's. The dimensions are: 51" x 183". Natural dyes, very old repairs to the pile, good condition.
Fabulous antique micro beaded figural purse, featuring a pair of lovers in 18th century dress, posed in a brilliant landscape. Very good condition; two very small holes; lining and fringe lacking. Measures 7 1/2” by 8”.
A pair of beautiful early wedding garters with great American provenance. The white silk garters are embroidered in bright chenille flowers, with the motto “la vertu” (virtue) on one, and “m’attache” (is attached to me, tied to me, etc.) on the other. Interesting 18th century beaded coin purse, probably English or French, featuring a pattern of red flowers with green leaves against a gold ground. Construction is similar to sable beadwork, but these beads are much bigger than most sable beading. The lining is a beautiful 18th century silk. Excellent condition. Measures 4” by 3 1/2”.
Exceptional complete pair of Kurdish saddlebags (khorjin) in beautiful condition, first quarter of the 20th Century, with kilim back and soumak bridge and skirts, full pile, beautiful wool, mostly natural dyes (some tip fading of the sparsely used apricot-orange), some old repairs to the closure system. The ivory borders in this set are rather unusual, with the vertical borders of a different pattern than the horizontal. This is a large set of saddlebags: 29" by 52"...

Antique Kurdish bagface or front, circa 1900, measuring 22" by 26", natural dyes, in good condition (full pile, good shiny wool, very saturated dyes, beautiful gold border, with small damage to one of the selvedges and bluish discoloration to some of the wool warps probably from outside source of unknown origin).
