Antique (19th Century) Central or Western Anatolian prayer or altar kilim, in beautiful condition. 3'4" by 7'2". All natural dyes, complete sides and ends. Two well done old repairs lower left. From a design standpoint this kilim is arranged like an Obruk kilim (the pointed hooked mirhab topped with a tree of life design, and flanked in the spandrels by two more such designs). However the color palette and the feel are not typically Obruk.
From a Charlotte, NC estate.

An exceedingly rare beaded purse with multicolored glass beads on a leather base, and with beaded and wood toggle closures. This early purse might be unique because of its age and that the date is actually worked into the decoration as part of the phrase "Gift of a Friend 1632". The interior of the purse is of a very soft, fine leather, probably deerskin or lambskin.
Especially considering its age the purse is in excellent and exceptional condition, with all the beadwork present...
This charming hooked rug shows two cats with a variety of flowers of vastly different sizes and shapes. Soft colors are brightened by the judicious use of red. The rug is professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 19" x 30". Pennsylvania origin; late 19th century.
This folky Sampler Quilt has a great combination of traditional and original blocks. Nothing could be more traditional than the center Schoolhouse done with nicely inked detail. Below it is a Bear's Paw signed "Fannie J. Gould March 24, 1892".
While the top was certainly made in the 19th century, the backing is later. It seems to be from the 1950's.
The quilt is in excellent condition. Measurements are 76" x 78"; New England origin.
This is an extraordinary, bold and original interpretation of a Honeycomb, or Hexagon pattern quilt. Graceful wreaths and vining borders are brilliantly offset against the dominant central pattern. Illustrated in The Quilt Engagement Calendar when I last owned it: I have recently re-purchased it from a collection. Very well pieced and appliqued. Finely cross hatch quilted. Unwashed condition; several area of light discoloration are visible in thumbnail photos...
