A very fine embroidered and painted silk memorial picture. Showing a young lady playing the harp besides a monument with urn in a mountainous landscape. Inscribed on glass in "verre eglomise" technique in French: "Fait Par Anna Izeli 1826" (made by Anna Izeli 1826) - maybe of Swiss origin, Iseli is a typical name in Switzerland. The subject of these pictures was a fashionable expression of romantic sorrow in Neoclassicism - Biedermeier...
All hand pieced and quilted cut corner doll quilt.
It has been professionally mounted. There is one spot more noticeable in the picture than in person. The quilt is 17" wide and 19" long. The frame is 19" by 21". This little amazing quilt is out of a local attic a number of years ago. I love hanging these dear doll quilts on fronts and backs of doors. (I have run out of wall space!) Circa 1840

Dated September 4th 1832, this lovely needlepoint saying titled "On Virtue" is surrounded with intricately embroidered flowers. In a bird's eye maple frame it measures 19.75" x 16.5", sight size 15" x 11.5". In very good antique condition, the background has darkened some with age (the first 2 photos showing the frame is most color correct.) Please note that the textile is not lighter on the bottom, it is a reflection as well as other light colored reflections coming from the glass.
Antique true linen homespun table mat in a deep indigo blue and a natural unbleached white. The mat is 12" square and has just the slightest age discoloration in one corner, see photos. This is a wonderful very early example. Circa 1830
This Variable Stars quilt is done with the most beautiful of fabrics, highlighted by a gloriously colored red and blue chintz. The fabric is placed with the utmost of care so that, on half of it, the leafy vine motif creates the outer border. The same fabric is cut in half throughout to create an inner frame. The deep indigo on which the stars are set is especially dense and rich.
An added bonus is the chintz bars pattern used for the reverse...
This French toile de jouy fabric was undoubtedly made for the American market as it depicts the Mohicans at the Waterfall.
The front of the quilt is cotton and the back appears to be linen. The front is in excellent condition. There are some holes on the back that seem to be where the quilt was caught in the bedsprings.
The fabric is richly colored shades of red and pink. It does not have any of the brownish tones that show on my monitor. Measurements are 93" x 98".
Early Mosaic Hexagons quilt with a central star. The star is made of 10 irregular pie shaped pieces. The entire rest of the quilt is made of hexagons. The background looks as though it is solid fabric but in fact, it is made of hexagons of the same material
that abut one another.
The quilt is made of a glorious combination of fabrics from the first quarter of the 19th century. Quite a few are glazed. The quilt is in excellent condition...
The needlework is exceptionally fine on this Broderie Perse chintz center medallion quilt. The applique is delicately stitched, although it is interesting to note that the maker took a slight shortcut by not precisely outlining the cut out of the chintz motifs. Other than that, she spared no effort. The quilting is of the the best quality. Stitches are tiny and abundant. It is filled with flowers; leaves; wreaths and pineapples in the corners...
Beautiful 19th century crocheted and cut steel beaded purse, in cream and pink silk thread. Pierced gilt bars, slider and weights. Very good condition. Measures 5" by 2 1/2".
