Superb and rare antique needlework pocket on canvas, probably Pennsylvania Dutch, dated 1852. 18th and 19th century pockets took the place of purses; they tied at the waist under skirts and aprons and held anything from keys to money to sewing supplies. The contents were accessed by a vertical slit at the front. This is an amazing piece of folk art: the cross stitch motifs include a stag lying beneath a tree, hearts, flowers initials, and a dog. The header, back and lining are plain linen...

Fantastic 19th century dance card, probably Austrian, comprising an assemblage of mountain climbing gear, suspended from a chatelaine hook by a blue silk cord and topped with a chenille tassel. The front features what I believe is either a snowshoe or a ski carrier, complete with buckled leather straps, under which lies an ice axe crossed with a trekking pole. The card cover is in blue silk with the original pencil; the pages are empty...
This Barnraising Log Cabin is most unusual because of the embroidered names throughout. They are done in a variety of handwritings. It is possible this was a fundraising quilt but more likely a friendship gift of some type. The date 1900 is embroidered on the border along with flowers and leaves. The border is nicely cable quilted with wreaths in the corners. The front is wool with a cotton backing. Pristine condition; measurements are 66" x 78"...
Delectable Mountains quilt pattern at its best. Beautiful, unusual softly toned fabrics make this a serene and elegant quilt. Pristine condition. Measures 92" square. Sewn in cross stitch on the back are the initials JS and the number 10. Circa 1850.
Extraordinarily unusual quilt made entirely of folded triangles known as prairie points. Has an unbelievable array of late 19th century printed fabrics. Each triangle measures about 3/4" wide at the base.
Backing is made of Centennial flags. Front is in excellent condition; some water staining to the back that does not come through to the front. Measures 61" x 70".
Fine antique Qashquai complete bag, with striped kilim back, good colors, soft shiny wool, in good overall condition. This beautiful bag measures 55cm by 100cm.
Nine Patch crib quilt that is one of the most elegant examples of this pattern that I have seen. The lush variety of printed fabrics date from the 1830's - 50's. Setting the blocks on point and creating a diagonal sashing make the entire piece more dramatic than when set straight. A finely scalloped border is a wonderful frame and the blue printed backing fabric is jaw dropping. It is in excellent condition and has been professionally laundered...

I believe this beautiful beaded piece may be a small table decoration, or napkin. It is a circular panel featuring a vivid wreath of flowers, including a red and a pink rose, bordered by four full layers of different colored fringes. Excellent condition. Measures 6 1/4”.
"Roman Cross", a pieced quilt, this is a remarkable example of a relatively early quilt, circa 1860-1880, the fabrics are documented classics of the period and remain strong and vibrant. There is one tiny professional repair and very minor muting of the fabric along the binding. The stitching is entirely by hand at seven stitches per inch and includes diagonal, parallel line quilting, thin batting. A very special find, professionally washed and ready for use or display. 90"x80"...
