Variation of a Twenty Five Patch Quilt that also goes by the name of Mrs. Hoover's Colonial Quilt or more traditionally, Irish Chain. The Four Patches created between the main blocks make it more than the usual usual Irish Chain. Very finely quilted. Has one small pink spot (that I have not tried to remove) but otherwise excellent condition. Measures 86" x 98"; circa 1920.

Antique micro beaded purse, featuring a beautiful oriental rug pattern, with tribal influences. The central black medallion features designs in green, gold and brick red. A rare, early 17th century drawstring purse, worked in golden and silver metallic threads in plaited braid stitches and edged with green silk thread. Classically Jacobean, this purse features a knotted square design and is decorated with three plaited tassel balls to the bottom edge and two large balls at each top corner. Lined in pink silk, now discolored. Great condition for its age; drawstring and small sections of stitching are lacking. Measures 5 1/4” by 4 7/8”.

An exceedingly rare beaded purse with multicolored glass beads on a leather base, and with beaded and wood toggle closures. This early purse might be unique because of its age and that the date is actually worked into the decoration as part of the phrase "Gift of a Friend 1632". The interior of the purse is of a very soft, fine leather, probably deerskin or lambskin.

Especially considering its age the purse is in excellent and exceptional condition, with all the beadwork present...

A wonderful 1830's ladies' reticule with a little bit of everything! The purse is fashioned of cream satin and decorated with chain stitched floral embroidery, moss green and dusky pink velvet bands , gold metallic lace, spangles, and beads. The best part is a flip down bottom which hides a mirror within. Green silk lining. There is shattering to the cream silk, especially on the sides. 7” by 7”.

The fish scales form the flowers and leaves of the design – the flowers have gold beads at their centers. Pretty scalloped gilt frame; white silk lining; gold bead looped edging.
