The eagle draws the eye to the center and then allows it to meander through the variety of finely detailed blocks. Extremely rare antique Caucasian long rug (44" x 96"), last quarter of the 19th century, in good overall condition, some oxydisation of the browns, selvedges redone. This rug was created in the area of Shusha in the Karabagh area. Cf.
