Unusual pattern applique quilt that most resembles Starflowers or Sunflowers with a Pomegranate border. Nicely quilted. Professionally laundered; pristine condition. Tan colors probably started out as darker browns but there is no evidence of them having faded from green. Measures 66" x 80"; probably Southern origin. Circa 1870.
It's unusual to find a Maple Leaf quilt in these colors. They look more like the golden tones of Fall than one usually sees.
The blocks are placed in different directions. It is nicely quilted with groups of four hearts in each of the off blocks.
Measurements are 86" x 87", ample for a queen size bed and serviceable on a king. Pennsylvania origin; circa 1860.
This Bear's Paw has the quilting and border treatments typical of many of Maryland's finest nineteenth century quilts. The double sawtooth border encases lovely vine quilting. Old Persian 100% Wool hand knotted long Caucasian Runner, 1920, 15' 6" long, 3' 2" wide, soft thick camel hair color wool pile with Caucasian design. The condition is good, even pile, very clean, out of house in Washington DC area, ready to put down inside any nice home.

The name Thousand Pyramids does not come close to the actual number of pieces in this quilt. It consists of 8640 well pieced trangles. Unwashed condition. Inked initials; Kempton, Pennsylvania origin (Berks County). Circa 1870. Measures 82" x 89".
Antique Baluch rug with Tekke guls, circa 1900. This rug measures 4' by 2'9". It belongs to that small group of lighter colored Baluch rugs who are Turkish knotted (symmetric knot) rather than Persian knotted. With a very soft handle, in overall good condition. The dyes appear natural.
The richly colored Princess Feather quilt is a color choice with this pattern seen several times only in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. Variations exist in the center motifs but the four block Princess Feather on a rich blue ground with red and orange is a combination found only in Lancaster. This quilt has an especially nice continuation of the appliqued feathers throughout the border.
It is well quilted with a waffle design throughout the body. There is a sliver of color loss on one edge...
This is a very beautiful doll quilt all hand sewn and quilted with just the best very early calico and chintz fabric from 1820-30's. It looks fabulous hung or on a doll bed or used as a table mat. It is a wonderful study of early fabrics. It looks like it was made into a doll quilt in 1870-80's by the little red calico print fabric used at the top edge. The back is the original back and is early chintz blue green fabric. It is 18 1/2" by 15".
Wonderful antique hand beaded purse depicting two lovers strolling beneath the trees, circa 1830. The lovers are wearing period dress – the lady sports a wonderful hat with plumes! The header and lining have been replaced with a patterned velvet and silk drawstring. There are several holes in the purse (see images), but the lovers remain delightful! Measures 7 ½” by 5 ½”.

This unusual Mennonite Log Cabin crib quilt has an equally prominent secondary pattern of an Eight Pointed Star. The red center of each block is often believed to represent the fire in the hearth.
The front of the quilt is made of wool with a cotton sateen backing. Condition is excellent. Measurements are 37" x 38"; made circa 1900. The border is an olive green/ brown color.
This is a very interesting piece created by an early artist very skilled in needlework: an oval shaped map of England and Wales and small parts of Ireland, Scotland and France, the oval measuring approximately 19 1/2" by 17" (about 27" by 22 1/2" in the vintage gold frame). Judging from the seated figure of Britannia and the lettering and overall handling, I'd estimate this to date to the late 18th or early 19th century...

Fine antique 19th century Afshar bag complete with back and closure system, circa 1880, all natural dyes, fine weave. Measurements are 27" by 23" not including the flat woven back.
Nice pair of beaded napkin rings, featuring a red needlework ground worked with black, white and cut steel beads in the Greek key. Good condition; two spots of wear to needlework; rust to some of the cut steel beads. Measure 5”.
