An 18th century green velvet gaming purse embroidered in raised silver metallic thread. Figures include a red Maltese cross; two clasped hands within a snake eating its tail; a wreath; a lion; and various initials. The bottom consists of metallic leaves. Bag is lacking its lining and lacking draw-string; it has several darned repairs below the opening; embroidery to the lion is worn. Measures 7” by 8 1/2”.
Terrific 17th century French embroidered miter-shaped purse. The purse is constructed of green silk, embroidered with flowers and a central device in silver metallic thread; the edging is metallic as well. Good condition for its age; the central silver device has substantial losses; the green silk has a few areas of wear; there’s some soiling to the embroidery. Measures 6 by 5 1/2”.
Beautiful antique beadwork case, probably Continental, dating from the mid 19th century. The piece is worked in bright and colorful beads and features a riot of figures: a man, a woman, a pair of ducks, and two other interesting creatures, possibly a dog and a cat, all against a white ground. The beadwork is in excellent condition; the box is lined with heavy card, which is somewhat misshapen, and black silk, which is shredding. Measures 3” by 2 1/4”.
Pretty antique Continental beadwork pouch, probably a cigar case, early to mid 19th century. The owner’s initials are featured on one side, surrounded by tiny flowers and abstract folk motifs. The reverse features three larger roses, in red and pink. The insert is lined in magenta silk. Beadwork is in excellent condition; lining is shredding; there is a small split at the seam of one end. Measures 6” by 3 3/4”.
Fantastic antique beadwork over woven straw case, probably Spanish, early to mid 19th century. The piece is encircled with dancing figures in black, and with blue swags and blue and red flowers, all against a gold ground. The owner’s name is also worked onto the case: “D. Mariano Sanchez”. The letter on the top is difficult to decipher: “S.ALS.L”. Beadwork is in excellent condition; cardboard insert is a recent addition; top does not fit tightly. Measures 2 7/8” by 1 3/4”.
Unusual pattern applique quilt that most resembles Starflowers or Sunflowers with a Pomegranate border. Nicely quilted. Professionally laundered; pristine condition. Tan colors probably started out as darker browns but there is no evidence of them having faded from green. Measures 66" x 80"; probably Southern origin. Circa 1870.
A nice, vintage pair of 2-7/8 x 2-3/8" handmade kid leather gauntlet gloves c1900-10. These gloves have decorative stitchwork and pink dyed hightlights. They are unsigned and they are in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs other than some minor bleeding to the pink dye. All

A vintage child's pair of kid leather and suede shoes with wooden buttons c1900. These high-side shoes are still soft and supple with only surface creases on the (slightly soiled) leather. The buttons are painted, and the suede soles have a branded 0 on the bottom. They are stamped 0 D660 on the interior, they are 4-3/8" long and 3" high, and they are in excellent condition with no losses, damage or repairs...
Nine Patch Doll Quilt done in a soft, creamy pink. Excellent condition. What may appear to be slight discoloration is actually the use of two different white fabrics. Machine quilted; measures 19 1/2" x 24". Pennsylvania origin; circa 1920.

While not technically a Jacob's Ladder pattern, this unusual quilt is closest to the pattern by that name. Elegantly quilted with wreaths in each of the off blocks. Nice variety of late 19th century indigo prints. Sawtooth border makes the perfect frame. Body of the quilt is in perfect condition; very slight fraying on the binding. Measures 70" x 72"; Pennsylvania origin. Circa 1880.

This is the upper part of a kamishimo; samurai's formal attire without the trousers. It was worn over a kosode (kimono with small sleeves) with trousers. The texture is hemp like; coarse, slightly translucent, thick threads (thicker than other kamishimo). The family crest is the feathers of a hawk. Kami-shimo (upper-lower) that we currently have are quite dandy and fashionable. The amazing thing is the work that is involved when making these fabrics...
Elegant Tree Everlasting quilt pattern done with glazed chintz. Well quilted with oak leaves in the white bars and cable patterns on the chintz. The chintz is the same fabric throughout but is distributed so that one can see pillars, lattice baskets and flowers in different areas. Excellent condition; circa 1850.
