Afghan Baluch: Stunning (at least I think so) very old rug from Afghanistan Baluch weavers, all natural vibrant dyes. No a lot of knots but very supple and clean. Most of the flat weave head end is missing on one head end and about 15cm missing on the other. There are a couple of small holes and quite a few small but old repairs. Robbing Peter to Pay Paul doll quilt that is both quilted and tied. Both the colors and pattern itself give this a terrific positive/negative effect. Pink is cotton and the black is velvet. Excellent condition. Professionally mounted on a stretcher measuring 11 1/2" x 15 1/4".

This Nine Patch crib quilt is as crisp and fresh as the day it was made in the 1920's. It is nicely quilted with a waffle pattern and chevrons in the border. The quilt is well scaled with each block measuring 3 inches in diameter. It is an ideal shade of soft medium blue that is a little more gray than shows on my monitor. Measurements are 36" x 54"; Pennsylvania origin.

This classic Lancaster County Amish Diamond in a Square quilt is done with the most desirable of jewel colors. The front is entirely made of wool with a cotton backing.

Very bouncy Kansas Troubles (aka Sawtooth) pattern quilt that is done in solid colors giving it added spark. Additional small triangles at each intersection create Bowtie and Pinwheel patterns. Long hair abstract hooked rug in wool done on burlap. Soft, muted colors. Deep pile measures 3". Rug is on a stretcher measuring 21" x 61". Rug is in excellent condition but stretcher is a bit flimsy. There would be no loss in removing the rug from the stretcher for much easier shipping. Circa 1920.
