This Nine Patch quilt actually forms two additional patterns. Triangles in the corners of the off blocks create Octagons and the joining of the peach triangles on diagonals creates an Hourglass pattern as well.
The quilt is a beautiful shade of peach, not often seen. It is softer in color than appears on my monitor. It is nicely quilted with diamonds in the white octagons and diagonal lines in the triple border...

To the best of my knowledge, this Boots pattern quilt is a one of a kind. Because of the two colors, I am not certain whether they are meant to be boots or high button shoes, but in either case, it is a real rarity. There are 156 boots which gives it all a wonderful abstract quality as well. It is stitched with something of an echo pattern around the boots.
The quilt has been professionally laundered and is in excellent condition. Measurements are 60" x 74"...

I am taking the liberty of naming this unusual pattern as Feathered Pinwheels. The four blocks in the center are a traditional Pinwheel but the addition of triangles around it create something new. Placement of the triangles creates an overall diamond pattern in addition.

Chinese Coins is a pattern not often seen, even more rarely when done on a diagonal as is this example. The blocks are fairly large but create a stunning effect whether used either vertically or horizontally. This would make a spectacular hanging in a stairwell or over a sofa because of the 54" x 76" size. All wool fabrics; Circa 1910. Lancaster County, Pennsylvania Mennonite.
