This classic Nine Patch quilt is nicely scaled and well quilted. There is a flower in each of the white blocks and a feather running throughout the border. It is freshly laundered. The border fabric is a more ivory shade of white than the interior. The quilt is in outstanding condition. Measurements are 40" x 52". Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania origin; circa 1880.
A perfect miniature, wonderfully designed and crafted silk Log Cabin doll quilt, a rare find. Terrific combination of solid, striped and printed fabrics. Much more complex design than usually seen in a doll quilt. Measures 24" square; circa 1920. Excellent condition; Pennsylvania origin.
Charming hooked rug with a horse head surrounded by four lucky horseshoes. These two literal elements are surrounded by more abstract concentric squares, making for a very pleasing composition. Nice combination of soft and deep colors. Excellent condition; professionally mounted. Horse's eye is a piece of appliqued cotton; rest of the rug is wool. Circa 1920; measures 33" x 38".
This bold barn raising log cabin quilt beautifully combines patterned wool fabrics to create added interest to the eye. The use of light fabrics in the center diamond draws your eye immediately to this focal point while the many additional prints lead you throughout the entire pattern. The four triangles of color within the red frame are particularly well placed. Upon close examination, one sees that the border is actually a herringbone pattern combining solid blacks with printed fabrics...
An 18th c French yellow silk underdress front, beautifully and heavily embroidered with metallic threads. The overall size is 27 1/2" by 19". The condition is good, with some scattered wear and pulls. It could highly benefit from a careful pressing.
Antique Turkish runner, Konya area, probably Kurdish made, second half of the 19th Century. It features a series of four panel with alternating red and green grounds; extra end panels with mirhabs; and animal and human figures in each of the square panels. It probably dates from the 1870's. The dimensions are: 51" x 183". Natural dyes, very old repairs to the pile, good condition.
Antique Turkish Melez rug, 19th Century, measuring 39" x 53", in good overall condition, natural dyes, some areas of reweaving, new selvedges, "double-prayer" design. A beautiful rug for the wall.
This touching Stars quilt has the most unusual addition of appliqued flowers giving a nice "pop" to the already bold pattern. The solid red used for the deep triangle border is another element that adds drama. It is well quilted with small clamshell patterns. This Birds in the Air quilt is delicately made with small, well pieced triangles. The use of three different size triangles contributes to the effect of birds in flight.

To the best of my knowledge, this quilt pattern combining Black Eyed Susans with Barnraising is an original. The green has probably lightened with washing but the quilt remains vibrant and strong. The egg yolk yellow/ orange of the Barnraising perfectly continues the Black Eyed Susan theme.
Measurements are 67" x 80". Probably Southern origin; circa 1900.

Antique flannel dog filled with grain or sawdust that makes him feel like a bean bag and allows him to stand nicely. He has big bead eyes and replaced floppy ears. The original ears must have been further back where you see a white patch. That patch is white flannel that hasn't gotten dirty. He has a couple of mends but is old and nice and has a bit of a worried look. He is 7 1/2" long and 6" tall. (His ears are a wool knit fabric that looks like they have been there for a while.) Hi is 19th C...
Dark purple paneled velvet rugby cap with gold braid trim and tassel, embroidered “PFC” to the central panel and “1895-6” to the visor. Interior tag reads “James Gardner/late of C Stewart/18 Cross St/Manchester”. Condition is very good; some slight fraying to the lining.
Antique (19th Century) Central or Western Anatolian prayer or altar kilim, in beautiful condition. 3'4" by 7'2". All natural dyes, complete sides and ends. Two well done old repairs lower left. From a design standpoint this kilim is arranged like an Obruk kilim (the pointed hooked mirhab topped with a tree of life design, and flanked in the spandrels by two more such designs). However the color palette and the feel are not typically Obruk.
