MASSIVE JAPANESE EDO PERIOD SATSUMA LIDDED JAR, measuring

The rich dark rosewood and the beautiful grained maple combine to make this Victorian Renaissance Revival bedroom set a fabulous piece of craftsmanship; this set was obviously created for a special person, as his/her initials are carved into each piece; consisting of a bed with beautiful headboard and footboard and side rails that are just as well done, along with tall marble top dresser and matching chair

Unusual Wood Tea Caddy or Tobacco Box in the form of a doghouse with brass nails and door surround and with a brass dog sitting outside. It opens by gently lowering the dog's hinged head which releases the peaked roof form lid which opens to a tin lined interior. The whole is mounted on a plinth base with brass beading. Circa 1870, probably Black Forest.

An extremely rare Chinese Traveling Tax Collectors Folding Desk With built-in pull drawers and top that flips to reveal compartment for documents. Not shown is a set of drawers that sit atop the desk with pigeon holes for documents. In our almost 50 years of Asian arts and antiques, we have never seen another example like this. A tortoise shell and sterling silver inlay cigarette box, the interior cedar wood. The underline of the text with makers mark for Saunders & Shepherd (the firm founded in 1869 and still working), town mark for their Chester branch and L for 1894. Measures "4 / 10.3 cm x "4 / 10 x "2/ 5 cm. Condition: slight warping to the corners of the lid (cf. pics).

Pair of French Louis XV revival Fauteuil chairs, circa 1880 with original gros point upholstery in carved walnut with beautiful crushed blue velvet and fine needlepoint work measuring 41 inches high by 27 inches wide by 22 inches deep.

This lovely clothes brush has a sterling top patterned with the classic Art Nouveau Swirling tresses and flowers. The brush is marked F & B for the Theo. W. Foster & Bro. Company of Providence RI. This company was incorporated under that name in 1898 and was among the largest manufacturers of jewelry & sterling silver vanity goods in the Art Nouveau period. The brush is 5 ½" X ¾" and dates from 1900-1910.

Antique Black Forest Tea Caddy in the form of a dog house with a mounted bronze of a dog, carved on all sides and back and with a trick latch to open. German, circa 1870 . 8.5" x 7.5" x 7" tall

Fine old lacquerware antique, cylindrical box, possibly Karen or Shan, from North Thailand, with rattan bindings, these are becoming increasing difficult to find these days. Some loss of lacquer on the surface. H: 15cm/5.8in and D: 7.3cm/2.8in.
