This pair of Fu Dogs was used to decorate on the top part of an altar place (as you could see the notches at the bottoms) in an old Chinese house. Nicely standing with one leg on the ball, they were painted with red and gold colors.

Decorative Victorian wood frame with "heart and arrows" design, perfect for Valentine's Day, c. 1880. It has a lush colorful design tinted via stain. The frame measures 13" long by 8 1/2" wide.
