This is a charming Dining Table typical from Provence in the south of France made from solid and lovely patinaed walnut. This adorable item consists of a serpentine shaped parquet top sitting upon a nicely scrolled belt accented with shell and floral pattern, all supported by boldly built cabriole legs, adorned with acanthus leaves and standing on escargot feet. This is a great example of a tin wall box with great old original black paint. On the back you can see on the right side it got bent a little but it isn't showing on the front. It is 9" wide at the bottom, 7"wide at the top shelf and is 12" high. It is circa 1850-60 and was probably a anniversary presentation
