Exceptional Chinese Export Black Lacquer Jewelry Chest with raised and gilt Chinoiserie decoration: having a hinged top upper compartment above two doors revealing an arrangement of small drawers and below a larger shallow drawer. 19th century.

An excellent example of French gilt, bronze doré work. This beautiful footed trinket box dates to around 1890-1910. The lid has a glass center and is surrounded by deep rose silk material and exquisite ormolu decoration. Inside is lined in a matching stripped floral silk. The sheer amount of work in this little box is testament to the quality of the piece. In very good antique condition, it measures 5.75 inches x 4.75" x 1.75" high.

Antique Bird's-Eye Maple Tea Caddy of sarcophagus form having a hinged, canted lid with line inlay, lions head brass carrying handles and pressed brass ball form feet. Probably American, circa 1820.

Two(2) English superb quality inlaid wood Turnbridge Ware Glove Boxes with one(1) working key works for both boxes, Ca. 1850's, 10 1/4" x 4" wide, 2 3/4" high, beveled thick glass top with inlaid with Coromandel and satin wood plus other type of wood, edges are round and inlaid stripes of Rosewood. Large 19th Century Scandinavian pudding or butter box hand caved with intricate foliage in deep relief. The lid is held in position by two upstanding wings and a carved wooden pin inserts on one side to further secure the lid. In excellent condition it measures 12 inches high an 9.75" diameter.

Small tortoise shell ladies case with an overlay sterling silver design. This may have been used as a patch box or to hold coins. Mono and in very good antique condition, it measures 3.75" x 2.5". Circa 1850

Large Antique Anglo-Indian Brass Document Box having a stepped lid surmounted by a carrying handle and heavily incised with scrolling vine and floral decoration. Late 19th/early 20th Century $675. 16" x 11" x 4" tall

19th Century French bronze hinged box with engraved sides. The lid featured a rooster made of very fine feathers under glass. Original lining. In excellent condition, this little treasure measures approximately 4 1/4" long, 1" deep and 3" at widest point.

Antique English Tunbridge Tea Caddy, with the lid inlaid with the "Tumbling Blocks" pattern. It is unusual to have the tumbling blocks in a variety of exotic wood samples. Made in Tunbridge Wells, circa 1860.

Rare George III Ambry in mahogany having an hinged arched top opening to a well and a paneled cabinet door flanked py pilasters, and the whole raised on ball feet. In Christian churches, items kept in an ambry include chalices and other vessels, as well as items for the reserved sacrament, the consecrated elements from the Eucharist. English, circa 1760.

Made of cardboard, the top decorated with a pearl embroidered flower and owner’s initials in wool, all surrounded by gilt paper ribbons, so-called Dresden trims. Germany, c 1830-40. An exceptional Victorian Tunbridge Ware trinket or dresser box circa 1850s. Tunbridgeware was made as souvenir ware in England and Scotland. It consists of tiny inlaid exotic wood tesserae in geometric designs. This 4-3/8 x 4-1/4" and 1-3/4" high example has a repeating floral pattern on the top, a Greek key design on the sides and a bird's eye maple ground. The lid appears to be rosewood and the box is quite heavy...

This is a very nice all original very small paint decorated box. It is all original and including the lock and key but the lock I think been disabled. The boards are thick for such a small box and the nails are also oversized for the box. It is the kind of thing that makes you smile...
