Reverse Painted Mirror with Painted Gold and Black Wood Frame. Reverse painting is in fairly good condition. Frame 20 inches x 10 1/2 inches overall. Inside frame is 8 inches x 17 1/2 inches overall.

This very decorative piece is highlighted by a lovely crest centering a shell flanked by acanthus leaves standing upon a heavily adorned frame surrounding the rectangular mirror which has been replaced at some point. This decorative piece is boasting an intricately accented frame from the beginning of the 20th century, embellished with interlaced foliage and acanthus patterns. A beautiful and elegantly simple Louis XVI Style Mirror made by the end of the 19th century accented with a pierced carved cartouche depicting the classical wreath with torch and quiver of arrows upon the rectangular frame highlighted with twisted ribbon pattern and flower heads. The mirror itself is not original and was replaced at some point. Circa date 1880-1890. Dimensions 60"high/ 41"wide.
This is an elegantly simple Parisian Pier Mirror boasting an exquisitely patinaed rectangular mahogany frame beautifully embellished with pierced cast bronze crest accenting the upper and bottom parts. The mirror is original and minor tiny dark spots can be see here and there due to the age but nothing obvious. Circa date 1900-1910. Dimensions 70½”high/ 21"wide/ 2"deep.

Pair French 18th century Louise XV pier mirror, gilt and painted on wood, 40" high, 15" wide, 1 1/2" deep, with carved low relief gold fluted decorated frame on top of the very nicely faded pale green and gray color patinated painted background. Mirror plate is one(1) piece with blackened spots(picture shows horizontal line near the bottom area which is reflection of the room background), and backing is original wooden boards with square steel nails...
Federal Gilded on Wood Pier Mirror or Looking Glass, 53" high-top crown, 27" wide-top maximum, 24" wide-side, with thin mercury darkened original mirrored finish plate mainly, except upper mirror plate maybe replaced long time ago, relief decoration of Eagle in the center between gold balls attached hanging from the top, and original wooden backing boards in the back. There are some missing gilt specially lower center area but condition is good overall.

This is a typical and elegantly simple massive Mirror made from pine during the Louis Philippe period by the first half of the 19th century. The frame is painted with French blue color surrounding the original mirror. Note some dark spots can be seen on this more or less one hundred seventy piece due to the age. Circa date 1830-1840. A fancy ornate brass oval frame having trefoil cartouches with leaves and edged with beading encircle the mirror held up by easel stand whose stretcher is detached from the frame. However the stand is still most functional. The frame is a very elegant reminder of a lost craft. Please note that we have painted out the glass mirror - not to hide anything other than the photographer.

Sophisticated elegance oozes from every pore of this gilt brass mirror framed with rococo and neoclassical motifs. The highlight is the extraordinary and highly detailed visage in high relief at the top center of the mirror. The glass is beveled with an arched top. A ring is attached at the top rear for wall mounting.
Condition is superb with the exception of a minor amount of silver loss on the left edge. We have photo edited the glass portion of the image to remove distracting reflections...
