A rare Himalayan hardwood storage chest with a simple hinge top lid. Originally from the foothills of the Himalayas this chest would have been used to keep safe storage of dry goods. All hand carved with geometric designs. Hand forged chain that hooks and secures the lid closed. Original finish with natural coloring. Very sturdy and in pristine condition.
Jacobean or Tudor style Cast Architectural Element of Saint George slaying the dragon there are various paint traces throughout we date this at least Victorian if not Jacobean period. This pair of metal downspouts came from an estate in the Adirondacks in upstate New York. Traces of paint show the date 1847 on the front of each. The downspouts have beautiful scalloped decoration on the front and sides in addition to three raised geometric elements of different shapes and a nice rolled rim.
The pair shows evidence of having been outside for some 170 years. They are still very useful as decorative planters or sconces.

A very interesting carved and gilded wood panel, found here in Southern California, origin unknown. There are remaining traces of gilding and to a lesser extent, possibly polychrome paint. I have found no writing/labels, and frustratingly, there is no further information traveling with it. The piece measures 15" by 32". I am wondering if it might be of American origin, although in my mind I think it could be French. The wood seems to be pine...
An absolutely perfect 19th century cranberry glass encased with sterling silver cut work perfume dresser bottle. American, it dates circa 1890 and measures 6 inches high, 2.5" diameter.
