Upper half features 2 pairs of sliding doors and a set of three side by side drawers. Lower half has 2 sliding doors with 2 side by side drawers. The shallow design would accommodate the narrowest of hallways.

An antique Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket in a long gourd inspired wall pocket design. Vertical ribbed herringbone weave that ends in a star crossed base. Side opening has a metal receptacle where water was kept and flowers were displayed. Upper opening allowed for long stem flowers to be showcased.

An antique Chinese scholar's stand made of natural gnarled twisted hardwood roots with a transparent russet lacquer. This type of natural root furniture goes back to the 12th century aesthetic. Lovely early 19th century two drawer drop leaf worktable, tiger maple with cherry drawers. The drawers are all chamfered on the bottom, and the piece measures 29" tall x 20" wide x 20 1/2" deep, and 39 1/2" wide when the leaves are up. It is in wonderful original condition.
