An antique Japanese Kotansu for traveling administrators made of Sugi (Cryptomeria) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute style handles. Unusual dual opening drawer allowed two administrators on each side of the tansu to access the same drawers and supplies. Family crest on the door.

An antique 2 section Korean Nong made of Elm, Genko and Pine woods. Nickel hard mounts with foliated central lock plate medallions. Ryu shaped hinges. With bat mounts representing happiness and articulated Chau ornaments symbolizing longevity. The front elm wood is book matched for visual symmetry and balance. Original paper lined interior.

An antique Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket in a long gourd inspired wall pocket design. Vertical ribbed herringbone weave that ends in a star crossed base. Side opening has a metal receptacle where water was kept and flowers were displayed. Upper opening allowed for long stem flowers to be showcased.

Antique Tibetan painted traveling trunk (also known as a Yak butter trunk) used to store and transport religious yak butter sculptures and artifacts. The main image shows a flaming jewel while the surrounding painting shows an octagonal foliated grid pattern. The fractal design shows an infinite repetition of the Mandala shapes and patterns.
