Impressive large-scale Black Forest carved armchair in walnut with all over carved decoration of bark, branches, leaves and berries. Swiss. Circa 1870-1880. Provenance: Anniee McCarthy, Newport, RI and NYC (label). Minor loss to tips of leaves on crestrail, caned seat was once over upholstered.

This is a rare find. A wooden unpainted Cupboard Bed from Varmland Sweden. I bought it from a Scandinavian Antique Dealer over 20 years ago for my 3 year old daughter's room. She has used it since. It is very old Circa 1700 and likely was the Bed and Cupboard for a Swedish Farm Family. There is some wear as would be expected. The cupboard doors are off but could be reattached with predominantly original hardware but may need a new bit as well...

New green natural leather top, and some veneer cracks on the corners.

This Prie Dieu has a very well executed carved central panel, and is unusual for its size and overall workmanship. A dramatic statement piece for an elegant environment.

A Continental lowboy in walnut and walnut veneers. 18th century. Size: 32 3/8 inches wide X 21 1/2 inches deep X 30 inches high. Walnut veneered and cross banded top with line inlay above a long and two short drawers with a boldly scalloped apron and supported by cabriole legs with raised carved shells on the knees and with ball and claw feet. Brasses are later replacements.
