Cabriole legs with claw feet each holding a ball leading up to the mitered corners profiling the Fu Dogs. Central carved image on the front and back shows the Fu Dogs. Scrolling vines throughout the apron with an archaic Ching dynasty key fret below which are lotus petals surrounding the table...

A German, domed top chest with ornamental hand wrought iron hardware, heavily oxidized and worn original surface and paint, and marked in white “T Adam Schuch reifst nach New York”. The chest looks like 17th century work. The name and destination likely added in the 18th century upon immigration. Reasonably good decoration considering the history. Length, 35 inches. Height, 17 1/2 inches. Depth, 18 1/2 to 19 inches (varying due to movement of the wood at the joinings).

An antique Japanese Negoro Choba Tansu (merchant chest) made of Hinoki (Cypress) and Suginoki (Cryptomeria) woods. Original hand forged iron hardware and Negoro Urushi lacquer finish. Complete with 8 drawers and 2 sets of sliding doors. The upper doors has a spacious storage area where the merchant stored his business records and books. The lower doors has books and records storage to the left and four small storage drawers to the right...

Incredibly beautiful original  Vernis Martin French cabinet from the late 1800s. In remarkable original condition, the gold lacquer decor represents the culmination of techniques for using gold leaf, gyobu nashiji, kirikane, kinji for a decor that continues from the inside of the room. door to the other door in continuity on the drawers. Originally for storage of tea ceremony utensils or cosmetics as gifts from wealthy aristocrats. Original lacquered box with inscription. Meiji period late 19th century. Octagon sided marble top table with an oriental style to the base. This is a simple but beautiful table, measuring 29" tall x 27" in diameter. The marble has two small chips, both in corners, and both not noticeable unless you look very closely. It is in very good condition for its age, which is late 1800s.

Very lovely and unusual tall slant front desk, opening in the front, but having drawers on one side like a davenport desk, and a door on the opposite side. Measures 67" tall x 30" wide x 18" deep; circa 1880; in lovely condition.

A fantastic mid to late 19th C. American walnut slant front desk with glass doors for the book case and solid doors for lower storage. It has interior drawers and cubby spaces. Red felt on the desk. Detail applied foliate moldings, and a brass candlestick holder. It is in over all very good to excellent condition. Expect some wear and tear for this 150 year old beauty.

A pair of antique Chinese Horseshoe chairs made of solid Zitan wood. They each feature a 3 section S-curve back splat with floating panel seats and a front that has an apron with a cloud motif and a foot stretcher. The back splat has symbol carvings related to the boar.
