Absolutely beautiful sofa in a variation of Belter's Rosalie pattern. It was made between 1850 and 1860 and is typical of Henry Belter's wonderful laminated furniture for which he is so famous. It measures 42" tall x 74" long x 34" deep. The coloring and graining of the rosewood is just wonderful, and this would make a fantastic addition to any parlor or living room

A fantastic late 19th C. Eastlake walnut slant front desk with glass doors for the book case and solid doors for lower storage. It has interior drawers and cubby spaces. Additional features include red felt on the desk; detailed, applied foliate moldings, arched glass, serpentine bonnet, and a rare brass candlestick holder. Pair of antique Japanese Inari foxes hand carved out of granite. Each has traces of the original mineral pigment. Also called zenko, these good spirit kitsune (foxes) are specifically associated with the goddess, Inari.
Believed to be both messengers and guardians, kitsune served Inari in her role as goddess of agriculture, specifically rice. Part of the folklore surrounding the fox is it’s ability to shape shift into human form...

A German, domed top chest with ornamental hand wrought iron hardware, heavily oxidized and worn original surface and paint, and marked in white “T Adam Schuch reifst nach New York”. The chest looks like 17th century work. The name and destination likely added in the 18th century upon immigration. Reasonably good decoration considering the history. Length, 35 inches. Height, 17 1/2 inches. Depth, 18 1/2 to 19 inches (varying due to movement of the wood at the joinings).

Beautiful flame mahogany dressing table with marble top, all in excellent original condition. This lovely table is transitional from Empire to Victorian, circa 1870. It has a shell stretcher, and perfectly matched flame mahogany drawers. It measures approximately 73 1/2" tall x 39 1/2" wide x 23" deep.
