This attractively proportioned games table is a form famously produced in the Salem, Massachusetts area at the beginning of the 19th Century. One of the best back bars ever, this measures almost 12 feet tall and almost 20 feet long! It is made of cherry and walnut burl, American, circa 1880's. There are three leaded glass windows, two as cabinet doors, and one as center top, supported by marble pillars. There are no words to describe this incredible piece, and the pictures really don't do it justice, but you can get an idea. This wonderful bar needs to go into either a fabulous home, or a restaurant or hotel...

A walnut bracket and shelf intricately carved with a panoply of Masonic symbols. The shelf portion itself folds flat against the back bracket, and is supported by a swing-out brace.
Pencilled writing on the back of this item says that it was purchased in 1938 and was believed to be over 100 years old then, which is probably about 25 years on the optimistic side. The shelf has been shellaced or varnished; 19" high, 10 1/2" wide, 6" deep.
An antique Japanese small Choba Tansu (merchant chest) made of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware with hardened wooden nail construction. Exquisite rosewood marble top center table crafted in the 1850s. It is attributed to Joseph Meeks, one of the top cabinet makers in New York of the period. This table is carved on all four sides, each side differently, with beautiful flowers. The knees are also heavily carved, and the center finial is a work of art in itself.
