This is an exquisite antique Japanese low Tansu, custom made for a wealthy previous Japanese owner. The Tansu is made of Keyaki (Zelkova) and Sugi (Cryptomeria) woods and features all original hand-forged iron hardware, including Gunbai style handles. Beautifully made walnut American Victorian night stand with marble top. Made and signed under the marble by R. Renwick & Son of Baltimore, Maryland. R. Renwick was a cabinet maker to the wealthy, (see article in photos) and his workmanship was the finest in the area. The measurements on this table are 31" tall x 17 1/2" wide x 17 1/2" deep.

The rectangular carved wood with dragons and border with carved bamboo, legs with reticulated dragons and symbols, tabletop border with Shou symbols on each corner with dragons, side panels with carved dragon in high relief with an alternate border of bats and floral motif. The table folds up and the photos show it folded. Age: Late 19th - Early 20th Century Condition: some writing on the tabletop, and rest of table is in good condition...

An antique Japanese Kotansu (personal chest) made entirely of Sugi (Cryptomeria) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware and Urushi lacquer finish. Warabite style handles with unusual handle backplates. Four drawers of varying sizes with side carrying handles.

Lovely walnut oval parlor table with white marble top and nicely decorated base, circa 1880. In excellent original condition.

DESCRIPTION: A charming pair of French Provincial armchairs, each crafted from solid, carved cherry wood and each having rush seats with red accent stripes, early 20th C. Carved turned arms attach to an arched ladderback over the red striped seats on turned tapered legs with toupie feet, joined by stretchers. Very good condition. DIMENSIONS: 34.25” high x 21.25” wide x 20.25” deep.

An antique Japanese small Kimono Tansu chest made of Kiri (Paulownia) and Sugi (Cyrptomeria) woods. All original Urushi lacquer finish and hand forged iron hardware including the Hirute style handles. Four drawers of varying sizes and a hinged door that secured 2 small drawers where valuables were kept. This would make a great side chest or a compact dresser for a small bedroom.

English Satinwood octagonal shape small tall table with young girl portrait with floral design in Polychrome colors, 26" high, 13" wide-point to point, with shaped x-cross stretcher join into the tapered square legs, and painted floral and red ribbon on the side, stretcher and legs, entire table is constructed with satinwood. The condition is used, no major damages except painting area is slightly stained with age.

19th Century English Brass large Fire Place Fender, Ca. 1830, 51" wide, 10" high, 13 1/2" deep, reticulated leaves, raised round pin wheel, supported by Lion's Paw Feet, nicely polished and ready to put in your home. One bump is noticeable in the photos, backside is reinforced with wrought iron frame.

An antique Japanese Ikebana bamboo basket in a long gourd inspired wall pocket design. Vertical ribbed herringbone weave that ends in a star crossed base. Side opening has a metal receptacle where water was kept and flowers were displayed. Upper opening allowed for long stem flowers to be showcased.

Octagon sided marble top table with an oriental style to the base. This is a simple but beautiful table, measuring 29" tall x 27" in diameter. The marble has two small chips, both in corners, and both not noticeable unless you look very closely. It is in very good condition for its age, which is late 1800s.
