Very unusual hand carved red cinnabar lacquer finish table with TAOTIE MASKS and 4 drawers, Qing, China. Size: H. 79cm x W. 106cm x D. 72cm

A pair of antique Chinese Rosewood barrel stools in the Ming style. Hand carved and designed with an elegant form and practical function in mind.

Chinese ivory toggle finely carved in the shape of a fingered lemon or "Buddha's hand" with foliage and mushroom. H 7cm (2 3/4in). Late 18th century.

An exceptional ladder back Delaware Valleycahir with 4 slats, original red wash and splint seat, and well developed turnings.

The chair is in excellent original condition and structurally sound. As to be expected there are some losses to the splints. The height is 43", with a width of 20" and a depth of 18". The seat depth is 16" and 18 1/2" high.

An antique Japanese Kotansu (document chest) made entirely of Kiri (Paulownia) wood. All original hand forged iron hardware including the unusual side carrying handles which when swiveled up, allowed a wooden pole through it allowing two persons to transport it. Straight dovetail joinery and hardened wooden nail construction.

An antique Japanese Okidoko (low display stand) made of Keyaki (Zelkova) wood. Used in a Tokonoma as a portable display stand atop which decorations like scrolls were hung or flower arrangements were displayed. Drawers were used to store items for display and the interior shelves were used to display seasonal items. All original bronze hardware.

Lovely petite hand painted curio cabinet with glass door with bronze trim and "J" shaped side glass, also with bronze mounts. It measures 54" tall x 26" wide x 15" deep. It is beautifully hand painted with a musical and flower motif.

The rectangular carved wood with dragons and border with carved bamboo, legs with reticulated dragons and symbols, tabletop border with Shou symbols on each corner with dragons, side panels with carved dragon in high relief with an alternate border of bats and floral motif. The table folds up and the photos show it folded. Age: Late 19th - Early 20th Century Condition: some writing on the tabletop, and rest of table is in good condition...

An original chair of the renowned Wiener Werkstatte movement, circa 1905, measuring approximately 35" by 17" by 16 1/2". There are two original labels underneath bearing the names Jakob and Josef Kohn, from Wien (Vienna). In 1904, Josef Hoffmann, one of the founders of the Wiener Werkstatte, designed a furniture line, noted for its simple forms, for the firm of Jakob & Josef Kohn, which actually manufactured the chair.
